about us.

Our Story

Senton Wood Products operates from a long-established timber processing site in the Waikato region near Hamilton. Spanning approximately 35 acres, the mill is equipped with extensive yard space, drying sheds, and specialised timber processing infrastructure designed to support large-scale production and distribution. The facility includes two Wadkin planers, eight kilns, a treatment plant capable of processing 50m³ per charge, and one of the longest timber steaming plants in New Zealand, enabling efficient handling and preparation of timber for both domestic and export markets.

The site itself carries a strong legacy within New Zealand’s timber industry. Formerly known as Senton Sawmill Limited, the mill gained recognition for producing the original 125 × 125 house pile, a product that became an important component in residential construction throughout the country. In 2019, we adopted the name Senton Wood Products, allowing the business to reconnect with this heritage while continuing to operate from the same established mill site, carrying forward the reputation for dependable products and quality workmanship customers have come to expect.
